Notice is hereby given that the Mobile Airport Authority (MAA) is requesting Letters of Interest and Statements of Qualification and Experience for Professional Airport Engineering and Planning services required for both Mobile Regional and Mobile Downtown Airports. Submitted documents are limited to 20 pages, must be forwarded to Mobile Airport Authority, Attn: Administration Office, 8400 Airport Blvd, Mobile, AL 36608. All documents are due no later than 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 11, 2008.

Services may include:

Professional Airport consultant services for planning, engineering, architectural, and such other special and additional services as may be requested by the Mobile Airport Authority in connection with proposed improvements at the Mobile Regional Airport and the Mobile Downtown Airport during a three to five year period.

Proposed projects by MAA may include without limitation:

Airport Layout Plan (ALP) update
Wetland Mitigation
Master Plan
Limited Part 150 study to include a Noise Exposure Map
Security System Improvements
Terminal Building Modification and/or Expansion
Install Jet Bridge with Bag lifts
Replace HVAC/Boiler (Engineering)
Replace Floor Covering in Terminal
Airfield Lighting Improvements
Runway, Taxiway, and Ramp Improvements
Construction of Parallel Runway
New Generator Building
Construct Infield Service Road - Phase II (Construction)
Runway Obstruction Removal
Beacon Relocation
Storm Drainage
Perimeter Fencing
Design/Install Jet Blast Fence, Compass Rose and GPS Locator
Aid in Airfield Development
Such other related work as the Airport Authority deems necessary.
