American Eagle Keeps Air Fares From Mobile More Competitive With Neighboring Markets
American Eagle air fares offered in Mobile are competitive with air fares offered at Pensacola Regional Airport and Gulfport International Airport. The average fares offered from Mobile are and will continue to be more in line with the average fares offered, on American Eagle, from Pensacola and Gulfport. According to Director of Aviation, Thomas Hughes, “Fares will not be matched city by city but they will be very close on average.”
Mayor of Mobile, Sam Jones, states, “I would like to thank American Eagle for making our air fares competitive with neighboring markets. This is an opportunity for the Mobile community to support American Eagle by supporting this fare adjustment and gives Mobilians one more reason to support our hometown airport.”
According to Mobile Airport Authority, Executive Director, Bay Haas, “We have worked hard over the last few months with American Eagle to increase ridership. Their commitment to fares truly shows their commitment to the Mobile community. We appreciate their willingness to support the growth of this region.”
Richard Davis, Mobile Airport Authority, Chairman of the Board, states, “We are pleased that American Eagle is offering the citizens of Mobile the same average fares as those offered to citizens of Pensacola. Surely this move will entice the citizens of Mobile to support American Eagle in Mobile.”
Win Hallett, Mobile Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, President, states, “We appreciate American Eagle's commitment to support the local business community. Their ability to balance fares with our neighboring airports will make Mobile a more competitive market and reinforces the company's commitment to the greater Mobile community.”
