Mobile Regional Airport Celebrates the Holidays with Passengers
December 8, 2005 –Local Mobile County schools join the Mobile Regional Airport to celebrate the holiday season. November 27 - December 12, local elementary schools decorate the airport with themed Christmas trees, part of the airport's annual Christmas tree decorating contest. The contest ends December 12 but trees remain in the airport until after the New Year. Santa Claus will also be in the airport greeting passengers, taking pictures and listening to Christmas wishes while choirs from area schools and churches serenade visitors.
David Yarbrough, Airport Customer Service states, "Children and teachers enjoy the holiday festivities but the real winners are our passengers. We appreciate all the teachers, children and passengers who bring holiday cheer to the airport."
